Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry calls on country's citizens to refrain from trips to Tunisia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan issued notice for the Azerbaijani citizens warning them about the recent developments in Tunisia.

The ministry informed the citizens about the anti-government actions and unrests in Tunisia beginning in mid-January and causing deaths of people, APA reports quoting the ministry’s website. Tunisian government has declared state of emergency in the country since January 14, 2011 and there are restrictions on people movement from 18.00 to 05.00.

The ministry warns: “The Azerbaijani citizens planning to travel to Tunisia are requested to be careful and to postpone their visits if there are no significant reasons. Azerbaijani citizens permanently or temporarily living and working in Tunisia are requested to observe all rules established in the country, not to interfere in unrests, to appeal Azerbaijani embassy in Morocco and the embassy’s office in Tunisia if they face any problem”.
