Azerbaijan receives observer status in African Union

Azerbaijan has received observer status in the prestigious organization African Union.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Egypt Shahin Abdullayev presented his credentials to African Union Commission (AUC) Chairman Jean Ping in the organization's headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia,the embassy told Trend.

The country received observer status in the  African Union with presentation of credentials and the appointment of Ambassador.
