"Azerbaijan was the leader in CIS territory for average annual growth rate of human development index for 2000-2010"

According to the UN Development Programme`s Human Development Report, Azerbaijan rocketed 34 places to 67th spot from 2005 to 2010 among 169 countries, Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev said.

The Minister noted Azerbaijan was a leader in the CIS territory for the average annual growth rate of human development index for 2000-2010.

He added the country has progressed from the group of countries with medium human development to the group of countries with high human development.
