European Commission President conferred honorary doctor of Baku State University

President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso was awarded an honorary doctor of the Baku State University (BSU).
The University conferred the honorary title to Barroso on Friday within the framework of his visit to Azerbaijan.

The Academic Council of the BSU made a decision on awarding the honorary doctorate to Barroso. During his visit to Azerbaijan, which began on Jan. 13, Barroso met with the leadership of the country and discussed prospects of cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan.
