Pope Benedict XVI wishes peace and prosperity to Azerbaijani people

The head of the Catholic Church wished Azerbaijani people peace and prosperity while meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador to the Holy Throne Elchin Amirbayov at an official ceremony traditionally held by Vatican in early 2011 for the diplomatic corps, the ambassador told Trend.

Elchin Amirbayov conveyed New Year greetings of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Pope Benedict XVI. During his visit to Vatican, ambassador also held working meetings at the Ministry of Culture and the State Secretariat of the Holy Throne.
