"Turkish parliament to ratify treaty on strategic partnership with Azerbaijan in Jan. 2011"

The Turkish Grand National Assembly (parliament) will ratify a treaty on strategic partnership and mutual assistance between Azerbaijan and Turkey in January 2011, Mustafa Kabakchi, Head of Turkey-Azerbaijan friendship group of Turkish Parliament, told Trend

Milli Majlis (parliament) ratified a treaty on strategic partnership and mutual assistance between Azerbaijan and Turkey on December 22, 2010. It was signed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Abdullah Gul in Istanbul on August 16.

Considering of a number of other issues was postponed because the budget for 2011 has been recently discussed in the Turkish parliament, he said.

"Now the budget has already been adopted. The discussions will be launched soon. The agreement on strategic partnership and mutual assistance between Azerbaijan and Turkey will be ratified," he said.
