Ministry of culture and tourism makes public report on status of monuments in occupied territories

Ministry of culture and tourism of Azerbaijan issued a report on the status of cultural and historical monuments in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. The report was sent to different international organizations.

According to the minister of culture and tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfaz Garayev, Azerbaijan always raises the question regarding the protection and preservation of monuments in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, as they belong to both Islam and universal heritage.

The position of Azerbaijan regarding this issue was backed up at the recent meeting of UNESCO Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage in Kenya.
