Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis marked in Hungary

The event brought together officials of the embassy, members of the Hungary-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, Azerbaijani students and journalists.

Opening the ceremony, Azerbaijan`s ambassador Vilayat Guliyev said revival emerged recently in the activity of the Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations abroad. He associated this fact with the Azerbaijani leadership`s wise policy, as well as the ongoing development process in the country.

The ambassador underlined the role of joint activities of the Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations abroad in terms of increasing the world community`s knowledge about Azerbaijani realities.

Chairwoman of the Hungary-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, Svetlana Abdullayeva briefed the participants on the projects implemented with support of Azerbaijan`s State Committee for Work with Diaspora and embassy in Hungary.

She noted the interest for Azerbaijan`s history and culture regularly increases in Hungary.
