Chairman of Azerbaijan's opposition party will resign

The chairman of the opposition Civil Solidarity Party will resign, Sabir Rustamkhanli, the chairman of the party, said at the IX conference of the youth organization of Civil Solidarity Party.

"You should know that sooner or later I will also resign. I want you to prepare yourselves for this post," he said.

He called on the youth to actively participate in political processes.

"The future of this state in your hands. Become worthy masters of this country," he said

Members of the Majlis are Emil Bagirov, Teimour Ismailov, Ulker Mammadli, Parviz Gasanov, Niaz Agasafoglu, Elvin Huseynov, Tural Abasgulu, Turkel Aliyev, Gorgud Faigoglu, Ismail Kerimov, Salman Huseynov, Nijat Shukurov, Murad Ahmed, Tural Safarli, Davud Gadashly, Elmir Sultanov, Tural Khasiyev; in check-revision group - Khalid Khidiyev, Orman Rustamkhanli and Eldar Kerimov.

The opposition Civil Solidarity Party was founded in 1992. September 26, 1992 at the first congress of the party, Sabir Rustamkhanli was elected chairman of the party. CSP brings together 78 regional organizations and approximately 30,000 members. Today there are 115 members of the party in the municipalities of the country, and three members at the Parliament of the Republic.
