Embassy of Azerbaijan in Moscow arranges reception on Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis of World

On December 25 the embassy of Azerbaijan in Moscow has organized a reception on the Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis of the World which annually is marked on December 31.

Address of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev to the Azerbaijani people on this Day was read out.

Then, speaking was the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu who has in detail informed participants of the meeting about the state policy of the country in the field of association of compatriots and strengthening of their positions in the residence country.

Bulbuloglu noted that at the initiative of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev December 31 was declared as the Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis of the World, and this date is marked by Azerbaijanis as one of important holidays.

According to the Ambassador, development of contacts between compatriots, assistance in establishment of Diaspora organizations all over the world, strengthening of ties of compatriots with the historical Motherland, is priorities of the state policy of Azerbaijan.

"The Azerbaijan state attaches huge significance to association of compatriots and strengthening of their position in the world, and large-scale work on becoming of the Azerbaijan Diaspora a serious public force", he said.

"Founded by great leader Heydar Aliyev, the philosophy of Azerbaijanism is actively realized today, and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the national policy of association of the Azerbaijan Diasporas", the ambassador underlined.

Bulbuloglu said that the state attaches great importance to strengthening and organization of the Azerbaijan Diaspora in Russia so that by joint efforts could be solved the problems facing all of us.

The Ambassador of Azerbaijan especially noted that the desire of compatriots to association and solidarity amplifies, and the consciousness of national identity becomes stronger.

In his opinion, one of the main tasks facing Diaspora, is propagation of successes of the Motherland in all fields and provide positive image of the country, and also development of active strong position for counteraction to the slanderous policy against the country.

The Ambassador mentioned the questions, concerning national problems, and ways of their realization. The diplomat has especially underlined that the authority of country at the international level grows every day and Azerbaijan is the regional leader on all parameters.

As he said, in successes of Azerbaijan there is also share of all compatriots including those living in Russia, and it is very important, that the compatriots living in Russia, would show solidarity and unanimity in national questions.

Representatives of the regional organizations of the Azerbaijan Diaspora in their statements expressed gratitude to the country leaders for attention to the Azerbaijanis living outside of the Motherland. It was especially noted that force of any Diaspora consists in its unity.

Heads and active workers of the Azerbaijan Diaspora from 55 cities and regions of Russia took part in action.
