Demarcation of Azerbaijani-Russian border may start early next year

A process of demarcation of border between Azerbaijan and Russia may start in the first half of next year, according to Vladimir Dorokhin, the Ambassador of Russia to Azerbaijan.

“When the governments of the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan ratify the corresponding interstate treaty (I think, it can be made in the first half of next year), so called demarcation of border will begin”, - the diplomat said.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of RF Dmitry Medvedev singed an agreement on the state border between two countries this year on September 3 in Baku as part of Medevedev`s official visit to Azerbaijan.
