Azerbaijan's ombudsman appeals to her Russian counterpart over ethnic conflicts in Moscow

Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elmira Suleymanova has appealed to her Russian counterpart Vladimir Lukin for the purpose of rendering assistance to Azerbaijanis residing in Russia in protection of their rights, Ombudsman’s Office told APA.

Suleymanova expressed her concern over the violations occurred in Moscow on December 11, 2010. She expressed hope that leadership of Russian Federation as well as Moscow government would take serious measures in the direction of preventing the acts of violations against non-Russian nations.

“I request and apply to you to eliminate the consequences of the ethnic conflicts as soon as possible”, said the Commissioner.
