
According to the statement signed in Astana, Russia will intensify its mediation efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin told reporters on Sunday.
According to the ambassador, the latest meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia was a next contact to determine possible joint steps to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, after the summit in Astana.
Moscow hosted a meeting of foreign ministers of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov, Russia Sergei Lavrov and Armenia Edward Nalbaldyan on Dec. 9. The sides discussed the issue of resolving the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
