Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijani and Belarus hold consultations on consulship issues

Baku hosted the next consultations due to the consulship issues between Azerbaijani and Belarus Foreign Ministries, press service of the Foreign Ministry told APA. The delegation led by Head of Belarus Foreign Ministry’s General Consular Department Alexander Ostrovsky was welcomed by Deputy Foreign Minister Nadir Huseynov.

They discussed the issues on development of partnership, regional and other issues in the consular service. The Deputy Minister said that there is a big potential for widening partnership in this sphere and added that in order to develop this field it is needed to hold consular consultations between the two countries.

Representatives of Azerbaijani Interior Ministry, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, State Social Protection Fund, Ministry of Health also attended the meeting and exchanged their views on the issues discussed.

Azerbaijani delegation was led by official of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s Consular Department Mehriban Najafova and Belarus delegation was led by Aleksander Ostrovsky. At the end of consultations, the parties signed protocol of intentions on discussed issues. Previous consultations of Azerbaijani and Belarus Foreign Ministries were held in Minsk on December 18-19, 2007.
