European Union to assess Azerbaijan's local authorities

The Committee of the Regions of the European Union will assess Azerbaijani local and regional authorities. The assessment will be made public in January, 2011.

Note that Azerbaijan is European Union’s partner on “Eastern Partnership”. The similar assessment was made in Georgia and Moldova last year. The first EU/Eastern Partnership conference of local and regional authorities will be held in Hungary in the first half of next year.
