World Congress of Azerbaijani Youth joined "Justice for Khojaly" campaign

The Secretary-General of the Youth Forum of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), Ambassador Elshad Isgandarov, who took part in the First World Congress of Azerbaijani Youth in Frankfurt, emphasized the need for active participation in the international campaign "Justice for Khojaly" initiated by OIC Youth Forum on intercultural dialogue coordinator Leyla Aliyeva and aimed at the moral and political recognition of the crimes against humanity committed by Armenian armed forces in the Azerbaijani town of Khojaly.

Isgandarov spoke at the opening ceremony of the event. He urged the youth of Diaspora and Azerbaijani students studying in foreign universities to be active in the pursuit of national interests and participate in events in which the truth about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can be brought to the public of the countries, where the Azerbaijani youth live and study.

The panel organized under the title "Role of youth in the development of intercultural dialogue" and held under Isgandarov's chairmanship, campaign coordinator, a graduate of Columbia University Nijat Mammadli in detail told about the work done in the campaign "Justice for Khojaly" since 2008.

Participants were also informed about the role of OIC in the UN Alliance of Civilizations (AoC UN), prospects of the Global Youth Movement of the AoC, which is planned to be established in Baku in 2011 with the participation of young leaders from around the world. The Congress expressed its full support to the campaign and urged the young fellow in the world to actively join its implementation.
