Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan to sign Military Cooperation Plan for 2011

At the invitation of Defense Minister of Uzbekistan major-general Kabul Berdiyev, Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, General-Colonel Safar Abiyev has left for Dashkend on November 29, Defense Ministry's press office reported.

Military cooperation and further perspectives will be discussed during the visit, views will be exchanged over politico-military situation in the South Caucasus and Middle Asia.

Within the framework of the visit Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are expected to sign Action plan for military cooperation for 2011. Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister is also expected to meet with high-ranking officials of Uzbekistan.
