The bodies of five Azerbaijani pilgrims who died in the road accident in Turkey have been delivered today to Baku. Azerbaijani pilgrims who died in a road accident are Samad Ahmadov, 28, Hajikhanim Alijanova, 66, Solmaz Bakhshaliyeva, 69, Zemfira Dadashova, 45 and Maharram Karimov, 72.

Azerbaijani pilgrims injured in the road accident, have been brought in Baku airport named after Heydar Aliyev together with the bodies of deceased pilgrims. The treatment of remaining injured pilgrims is continuing in Turkey's hospitals.

"20 injured people and the bodies of five dead people have been delivered to Baku. Among injured people the state of eleven ones is entirely satisfactory and the remaining ones are to be hospitalized in case of necessity. Six injured people remained in Sivas, one more person suffered from accident remained there in order to look after them and two pilgrims whose state of health is more severe have been left in Kayseri in order to continue their treatment", the head of international relations division of Caucasian Muslim Board Mugaddas Payizov told journalists when the plane landed in Baku.

According to Payizov, Caucasian Muslim Board is to undertake all expenses in line with this incident. Answering the questions of journalists, one of the injured people Ilgar Muradov said that the incident happened suddenly and there were no technical faults in the bus until the occurrence of the incident.

"The weather was excellent. There was shiny weather throughout the day. The accident happened on the evening, near 6-7 p.m. The bus was being driven on mountainous roads. Thank God, the accident didn't happen directly near the steep", Muradov said.

Treatment of the seven Azerbaijani pilgrims injured in a road accident in Turkey has been completed, and at present they are in a guest house in Sivas, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkey told Trend. According to the Embassy's spokesman Elsever Salmanov, presently, there is no threat to the injured pilgrims. The Embassy will work to deliver bodies of deceased to the country.

The bodies of the Azerbaijani pilgrams who died in a traffic accident in Turkey will be delivered home tomorrow, Azerbaijani Consul in Turkey Shohrat Mustafayev told Trend today. The transportable injured will also be sent back to Azerbaijan.

Health condition of two of the seven seriously injured Azerbaijani pilgrims is normalized at the moment, Mustafayev said over telephone from Sivas, where immediately after the accident news the consul and Azerbaijani embassy officials arrived. The Azerbaijani ambassador to Turkey Faig Bagirov and Caucasian Muslims Office's head Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade also arrived on the scene.

Bodies of dead and transportable injured Azerbaijani pilgrims will be delivered to their homeland on Thursday, Azerbaijani Consul in Turkey Shohrat Mustafayev said.

Health condition of two of the seven seriously injured Azerbaijani pilgrims at the moment is normalized, Mustafayev said over telephone from Sivas, where immediately after the accident news, the Consul and Azerbaijani embassy officials were sent. The Azerbaijani ambassador to Turkey Faig Bagirov is also at the scene.

Bodies of dead pilgrims and injured Azerbaijani pilgrims, affected by a traffic accident in Turkey, will be delivered to their homeland by a special flight, Mugaddas Payizov, the Head of International Relations Department of the Caucasian Muslims Office told Trend on Wednesday.

According to him, the state of the seven injured peoples remains stable heavy. Blood transfusion was made to three of them this night.

At present, the number of the Azerbaijani pilgrims dead has not increased, the injured individuals' condition is stable, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ankara told Trend on Wednesday. As a result of the accident five Azerbaijani pilgrims died, 27 injured, seven of them seriously wounded, the Caucasus Muslim Board (CMB) spokesperson Rahima Dadashova told Trend.

Head of Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Haji Allashukur Pashazade in connection with a traffic accident involving the Azerbaijani pilgrims in Turkey has left for the country to get familiarized with the state of the injured peoples and the progress in resolving the issue of delivery of bodies of dead persons to their homeland, Head of Caucasus Muslim Office's press service Rahima Dadashova said.

Head of Caucasus Muslim Office's press office Rahima Dadashova revealed the names of Azerbaijani pilgrims who died on Tuesday in a traffic accident in Turkey.

The dead are Samad Ahmadov (born in 1982), Hajikhanim Alijanova (1944), Solmaz Bakhshaliyeva (1941), Zemfira Dadasheva (1965) and Maharram Karimov (1938).

According to Dadashova, the number of dead could rise, because of the large number of wounded. Upon order by Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, representatives of the Office will leave for Turkey to study the issue and accelerate the return of the dead to their homeland.

The death toll in the accident with a bus carrying pilgrims from Azerbaijan in Turkey is five people, 29 are injured, the spokesman of the Azerbaijani embassy in Turkey Elsevar Salmanov told Trend.

According to the embassy, the accident occurred Tuesday around 17:50 (local time) on a one-way road in Sarkisla district of Sivas province. A bus with license plate number 90-DS-393 was carrying 34 passengers.

The Consul Shohrat Mustafayev was sent to the scene to investigate the accident and assist the compatriots. Later, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkey Faig Bagirov also left for the scene of the accident.

According to police sources in Turkey, the bus driver lost control on a turn, as a result of which, the bus went off the road and overturned into a ditch. Ambulances, police, gendarmerie and civil defense forces arrived in the scene. Local residents also participate in rescue operations.

A source at Sivas State Hospital told Trend that wounded Ingilab Hasanov, Mugaddas Askerov, Hadi Iskenderov and Shirin Kazimov were delivered to the hospital.
