Azerbaijani CEC cancels voting results in two polling stations

At its meeting on Friday, the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan held canceled the results of voting in one polling station. Commission annulled the results of voting on two polling stations - the 7th polling station of the 85th Shamakhi constituency and 10th polling station of the 10th Binagadi III constituency.

The CEC considered the appeal by candidates from the 85th Shamakhi constituency - the Unity party chairman Tahir Karimli and Vafaly Fatullayev - on the abolition of the voting results in this constituency.

According to the CEC secretary, along with the appeal, the Commission received 76 acts. According to him, only in one polling station of the 43rd constituency were inflicted obstacles to the will of voters. The authors of the appeal also participated in the discussions. The voting results on one of the polling stations were cancelled.

The CEC also considered the appeals of candidates from the 10th Binagadi III constituency Ilham Huseynli and Gorkhmaz Ibrahimli to cancel election results in this constituency. Their appeals were partially satisfied. So, the election results at the 10th polling station were annulled.

At the meeting, the CEC considered 16 appeals. Two appeals were returned to the applicants due to the expiry of their filing. Remaining appeals were not satisfied in connection with their groundlessness.
