Ambassadors' spouses presented national drinks of more than 20 countries in Azerbaijan

On 11th of November Ambassadors’ spouses invited the Baku community to taste various national drinks, presented by more than 20 embassies residing in Baku. Event, called “Around the world with drinks”, hosted around 300 guests at The Landmark hotel.

Guests of the event were offered to taste national drinks from all over the world as well to try some food specialities. According to the event’s organizing committee, ambassadors’ spouses Mrs. Iveta Matulova, Mrs. Nicolette Baldi and Mrs. Egle Kudzmaniene, the event was a big success – the tickets were sold out within few days and there were much more people willing to join. The variety of drinks was impressive and everybody seemed to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere. “We are happy we could raise money for our ongoing projects. And we are grateful to main sponsors of the event AZERCELL and The Landmark without whom it would have been very hard to make this idea come true”, Egle Kudzmaniene, the Spouse of the Lithuanian Ambassador said.

All money collected by selling tickets and donations will go to support HOMS (Heads of Missions Spouses) charity projects. The next charity event organized by internationals in Baku, a Christmas bazaar, will by held on 28 November in Hyatt hotel.
