
People will be able to vote in Azerbaijani parliamentary elections with expired identification cards. It will be possible to observe the elections process with expired identification cards. The decision was made at a meeting of the Azerbaijani Central Election.
Speaking at the meeting, CEC chairman Mazahir Panahov said that the public wanted to know the CEC's attitude concerning the expired identification cards. "So we thought it necessary to include this issue in the agenda," he said.
The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November 7, 2010. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.
