Ukraine offers repair of military equipment and arms to Azerbaijan

Ukraine offered repair of military equipment and arms to Azerbaijan, said chief of the information department of the Ukraine’s Defense Ministry Alexander Kluban, according to Ukrainian news agencies.

He said Defense Minister of Ukraine Mikhail Jejel offered to his counterparts from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Armenia to repair military equipment and arms inherited from the Soviet Union in the Ukrainian plants.

The department chief said Jejel held bilateral meetings with the ministers and made this proposal. CIS defense ministers gathered in Yalta, Ukraine for the CIS Ministerial Council’s meeting. Kluban said transport helicopters could be repaired in Kiev’s 410th plant and Kanatop helicopter plant.
