EU welcomes contact between Azerbaijani and Armenian political forces

“The European Union welcomes contact between the Azerbaijani and Armenian political forces”, said EU permanent representative in Azerbaijan Roland Kobia making comments on the meetings of Azerbaijani and Armenian political forces during the Socialist International conference in Baku.

He said it needed to use every opportunity for the dialogue.

“We understand torments of the people involved in this conflict. The European Union makes all efforts for peaceful solution to the conflict. We are working for mutual confidence and contacts. We consider that only dialogue could lead to the solution of the problem”.
