TurkPA mission says Kyrgyz parliamentary elections were transparent, democratic

Mission of international observers of TurkPA, Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic-Speaking Countries, was on a visit to Kyrgyzstan on October 6-12 to observe parliamentary elections in the country, the organization said.
 
The TurkPA mission monitored the polls, conditions created for the candidates and activity of the election commissions and observed election campaign of candidates in Bishkek and suburban areas.

The TurkPA delegation visited about 40 polling stations on the day of voting on October 10 and gave a press conference on election outcomes in the country’s foreign ministry on October 11.
The TurkPA delegation announced the polls were transparent, democratic and free with some minor technical shortcomings and equal rights were provided for all candidates and voters regardless of their political affiliation, language, religion and nationality. 

TurkPA mission of international observers recognizes the parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan and hopes that the new Kyrgyz parliament will resume its activities in TurkPA.
