Iranian defense minister arrives in Azerbaijan

Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi  has launched his visit to Azerbaijan today. Vahidi told journalists at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran in all spheres, including in the military and security spheres are at the high level.

He added that there are agreements between Iran and Azerbaijan on the military and security spheres. The discussions scheduled for today will be held within these agreements.

Iran and Azerbaijan's history, culture and religion are common. Azerbaijan is very important country for Iran. The two countries have common interests in the region and the development of the relations between the two countries is important for ensuring the security in the region.
