Iranian defense minister to visit Azerbaijan on October 11

Iranian defense minister Ahmad Vahidi will visit Azerbaijan on October 11 at the invitation of his Azerbaijani counterpart Safar Abiyev.

He will meet with Safar Abiyev and other officials of Azerbaijan.

The issues of bilateral defense cooperation, as well as regional security and defense will be discussed at the meetings.

Iranian parliament speaker Ali Larijani and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are also expected to visit Azerbaijan this year.
