Some media outlets, especially Armenian media have reported that the so-called “Nagorno Karabakh Republic” is participating in the international book fair in Frankfurt, Germany with a separate pavilion.
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s press service told APA that Azerbaijani embassy in Germany had investigated the issue. The investigation found out that the separatist regime in the occupied Azerbaijani territories planned to participate in the fair with the separate pavilion.
The embassy immediately contacted the administration of the fair, sent them an explanatory letter and materials showing that Armenians want to use the fair for political propaganda. It was noted that it is inadmissible for the unrecognized separatist regime to use the fair for propaganda and demanded to take necessary steps to prevent it.
On demand of the embassy the administration of the fair annulled the contract signed with the organization that was to represent the so-called regime in the fair. So, the participation of the separatist regime in the fair with an independent pavilion has been prevented, the information about the organization removed from the catalogue of the presenters on the website. Armenians’ another attempt to introduce the separatist regime in Nagorno Karabakh as an independent state failed in Germany.
