
Iran offers Azerbaijan to create a joint bank. This proposal was announced by the head of department of economic issues control of Iran's President's Office, deputy Vice President Ali Agha Mohammadi at a meeting with the chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov in Baku, the head of press service of the Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan Abbas Isgandari said.
Currently there is one bank with the Iranian capital in Azerbaijan - a branch of Bank Melli Iran.
Ali Agha Mohammadi also suggested to make joint investments and to provide benefits when opening credit accounts for businessmen of two countries.
"For business development would be appropriate to use in mutual trade only national currencies - Azerbaijani manat and Iranian rial," said Mohammadi. "We have successfully used this experience in our relations with other countries."
