
Azerbaijani and Georgian commissions on delimitation of state borders between the two countries came together in the Azerbaijani city of Balakan on Thursday.
Azerbaijan's delegation includes experts of state bodies, several ministries, as well as heads of executive authorities of Tovuz, Samukh, Aghstafa, Gakh and Zagatala regions led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, head of state commission for delimitation and demarcation of state borders Khalaf Khalafov.
The Georgian delegation is headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs David Jalagania. In a brief talk with journalists, Khalafov praised the commission's work.
“We agreed the two-thirds of the total length of our common state borders. So far, we have delimited 300 kilometers of the total of 480 kilometers of the state border,” Khalafov added.
