Prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Switzerland discussed

Mr. Fred Tanner, Director of the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) as part of his visit to Azerbaijan has today visited the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan. He discussed with the center's officials the current status of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Switzerland.

Tanner emphasized the importance of political dialogue, and more proactive cooperation in the humanitarian area as well as in the fields of education and science.

The Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) is an international foundation that was established in 1995 under Swiss law to “promote the building and maintenance of peace, security and stability”. The GCSP was founded by the Swiss Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sports, in cooperation with the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, as a Swiss contribution to Partnership for Peace (PfP).
