Azerbaijani MP: AGRI project is of great political importance for Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan-Georgia-Romania Interconnector project is of great political importance for Azerbaijan, said deputy chairman of the Milli Majlis standing committee for international relations and interparliamentary ties Gultakin Hajibayli.

She stressed the project will increase Azerbaijan's role in ensuring energy security of European countries.

“The project opens wide opportunities for successful implementation of EU Eastern Partnership program.”

Hajibayli noted the realization of the AGRI project will boost the development of economic and political cooperation between the European countries.

“The project will positively impact on development of cooperation among countries of the European Union, Caspian region and Central Asia,” she added.
