Azerbaijani president congratulated North Korea

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulation to the Chairman of the National Defense Commission of Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong-il on his country's national holiday, AzerTAc state news agency reported.

"On my own behalf and on behalf of the Azerbaijan people, I cordially congratulate you and all your people on the national holiday - the Day of Establishment of Democratic People's Republic of Korea. I am confident that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between our countries will continually develop and expand in the interests of our peoples," the letter reads.

Aliyev wished Kim good health, success in his activities, and peace and prosperity to the people of North Korea.
