EU special representative for South Caucasus discusses run-up to elections with Azerbaijani opposition parties

The meeting between Peter Semneby and the chairman of the Citizens and Development Party (CDP) and the acting chairman of Azerbaijan Liberal Party (ALP) focused on parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan scheduled for Nov. 7, the CDP press service said.

Semneby briefed the party chairmen on the EU's position on the run-up to the elections, the first to be held in 5 years. Semneby shared his impressions of recent meetings he has held with officials during his current visit to Baku.
