Azerbaijani president receives credentials of incoming Dutch ambassador

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has today received credentials from newly appointed Dutch ambassador Arjen Peter Uijterlinde. Aliyev and the Dutch ambassador had a conversation. President expressed hope that during his tenure the diplomat would contribute to developing the relations between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands. President Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan is interested in developing relations with the Netherlands, adding “there is a good potential for this”. The President stressed the role of embassies in the bilateral relations.

He also touched upon economic relations, saying business circles are keen on bilateral projects.
President Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan`s ties with the EU are part of the Azerbaijan-Netherlands bilateral relations, which, he expressed hope, would expand to cover more areas.

The Dutch ambassador delivered best wishes of Queen Beatrix to the Azerbaijani President. Arjen Uijterlinde hailed development of bilateral relations during the last few years. President Ilham Aliyev asked the diplomat to extend his best wishes to the Dutch Queen.
