
Azerbaijani Ambassador Elman Arasli and the Jordanian Industry and Trade Minister, Joint Intergovernmental Commission Co-Chairman, Amer Al-Hadidi, mulled prospects for economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Jordan, the embassy told Trend on Monday.
The meeting discussed holding of the next committee meeting in Baku by late 2010, establishment of joint companies in the agriculture and livestock and Azerbaijani delegation's upcoming visit to Jordan in October for this end, as well as establishment of the Jordanian trade center in Azerbaijan.
Al-Hadidi noted the importance of evaluating the proposals and initiatives for cooperation. The Azerbaijani diplomat also met with new Agriculture Minister Mazen Khasawneh. Arasli congratulated the Minister on his appointment and wished him success in his work. The sides discussed prospects for cooperation in this field. Khasawneh noted that he attaches great importance to the country's cooperation with Azerbaijan.
