Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry holds talks to return body of killed Azerbaijani officer

The Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan takes measures to get back the body of the Azerbaijani army officer from the Armenian side, spokesman for the Defense Ministry Teymur Abdullayev said.

Armenian armed forces unexpectedly launched the offensive against the Azerbaijani Army in Azerbaijan’s Terter region on Sept. 4.

Tension in the contact line has also intensified. Officer of the Azerbaijani Army Farid Ahmadov, 24 was killed near the Armenian positions in the contact line. Azerbaijani soldiers couldn’t take his body away from the battle field. Another officer of the Azerbaijani Army Ahmad Abdullayev, 34, was wounded during the shooting. He died at the hospital. The body of the officer was buried in his hometown in Jalilabad region.
