Delegation of Venice Commission to visit Azerbaijan

The delegation of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe will visit Azerbaijan in late September, officer of elections and referendums department of the Venice Commission Sergei Kuznetsov told APA.

The aim of the visit is to attend the workshop on the procedures of complaining to the courts about the results of the elections. Sergei Kuznetsov said the date of the workshop had not been fixed, it would be likely held at the end of the month.

“We are waiting for the Supreme Court to confirm the date of the workshop,” he said.

The workshop falls under the events that will be held by the Venice Commission before the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan.
