Russia's president named honorary doctor of Baku State University

President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has today visited the Baku State University (BSU) where he was awarded an honorary doctor diploma. Speaking to the ceremony, the BSU`s rector, academician of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, MP Abel Maharramov spoke of the Russian President`s life and activities. He also highlighted the Russia-Azerbaijan educational cooperation.

Maharramov then read out the decision of the BSU's Supreme Scientific Council to name the Russian leader an honorary doctor. President Medvedev made a speech at the ceremony. The Russian leader thanked the Council for honoring him with the honorary doctor diploma.
