Turkey’s Nokta Yatirim ve Inshaat and Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Actions (ANAMA) are planning to join the tender for mine clearing operations on Turkey-Syrian border, Nokta CEO Murat Keklik said.
Keklik said 900 km of border lines were planned to be cleared and it demanded to invest $1 billion in the project. “I think this territory will be tendered part by part for mine clearing. Generally the process is not clear in advance. We hope to get a formula of the mine clearing operations in the boundary area soon. Our company and ANAMA will join the tender as a consortium”.
He said their consortium needed support of the government of Azerbaijan in this tender attended by leading mine-clearing organizations of the world.
ANAMA is currently participating in the mine clearing operations in Gaziantep, Turkey along country's border with Syria.
