"Expanding trade relations is priority in Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan cooperation"

Further expansion of trade and economic relations can be marked out as a priority of mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, which will give additional impetus to the countries' economies and the welfare of the two countries' peoples, Turkmenistan's ambassador to Azerbaijan Annamammad Mammadov said.

"At present, Turkmenistan has become a country with a highly developed industrial potential. In recent years the country has built dozens of modern production facilities. Production lines are being modernized; production of new competitive products is being developed. Turkmen producers' products currently are available on the markets of Europe, America and Asia.

The export-oriented products include petrochemicals, as well as all kinds of high quality oil products, including base oils, polypropylene, coke, liquefied gas, etc," Mammadov said.

He said a high demand is observed for the products of textile industry of Turkmenistan, from cotton fiber, yarn, ending with a wide range of clothing, underwear and household products on foreign markets.

Products of food production, products of agricultural processing, fertilizers, construction materials can be noted out among export-designed products.

"Turkmenistan is interested in establishing strong and long-term trade relations with Azerbaijan, as well as all neighboring brotherly states, and calls on the operating companies to develop mutually beneficial cooperation with the Turkmen partners," Mammadov noted.
