Turkish president pays respect to national leader Heydar Aliyev, vists Alley of Martyrs

Turkish President Abdullah Gul has today visited the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev. The Turkish President also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

On the same day, Turkish leader also visited visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country's independence and territorial integrity.
A ceremonial guard of honor was lined up for the Turkish President here.

He laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument here. A military orchestra played the national anthems of Turkey and Azerbaijan.
