Socio-Ecological Center Ecosphere continues to implement environmental projects in Azerbaijan

Within "Collection and separation of municipal solid waste (a pilot project in Icheri Sheher)" project, partnership with "Tamiz Shahar" JSC Socio-Ecological Center Ecosphere continues information-agitation campaign for Icheri Sheher residents. Ecosphere's project was approved under the Civic Action for Security and Environment (CASE) Small Grants Programme administered by the OSCE Office in Baku and financed by Statoil and the Government of Austria, Ecosphere said.

From July 24, Zarifa Salakhova began informational creative meetings for children at the Museum of Miniature Books. Little residents of Icheri Sheher will be familiarized with the problems of environmental protection, recycling and waste management, segregation of domestic waste, conservation of natural resources within two months, weekly - from Friday to Sunday with the help of experts "Ecosphere" and the project volunteers, as well as guest experts and artists.

During the children's classes a variety of competitive actions will be held, after which the best participants of the program will receive an "environmental green sign" for their home or yard.
