ICRC representatives meet Azerbaijani soldier in Armenian captivity

Family of Azerbaijani soldier Anar Hajiyev captured by Armenians in Fuzuli region of Azerbaijan on May 10, 2010 has sent a letter to their son, the soldier’s mother Naila Mammadova said.

She said Azerbaijani representation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said that they would meet with her son in the next few days, and that they gave the family an opportunity to send a letter to their son. They said that the letter from her son would be conveyed to the family after the meeting.

ICRC representatives last met with Hajiyev on May 12.

Anar Khanbaba Hajiyev, 20, was drafted from Goranboy region.
