Draft final declaration discussed at OSCE PA

The session continued on its third day today with extensive debates and deliberations on three Committee reports on the conference theme and draft resolutions on issues ranging from migration, cyber crime, the Middle East peace process to the protection of investigative journalists.

At the session of the committee on security and political affairs, member of the Azerbaijan delegation Azay Guliyev insisted on indicating Nagorno-Karabakh and 7 regions of Azerbaijan occupied by Armenia into Italian rapporteur Riccardo Migliori`s report, which lists the territories within the OSCE area that are lacking any international recognition.

It was noted that the lands occupied by Armenians are out of control, pose a big threat to peace and stability in the region and are used for cultivation of narcotics.

Following remarks by the other member of the Azerbaijan delegation, the new item concerning all conflict zones including Nagorno-Karabakh that are out of control and question the security in the OSCE region was included into the draft declaration.
