Azerbaijani leader received EBU president

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev received the leadership of the board of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) headed by EBU President Jean-Paul Philippot on July 2, according to AzerTAc state news agency.

Jean-Paul Philippot said the participants of the 64th session of the EBU General Assembly saw the ongoing development processes in Azerbaijan, adding they were impressed by the beauty of Baku and reconstruction work carried out in the city.

Jean-Paul Philippot also pointed out they had visited various culture centers in Baku.
President Ilham Aliyev, in turn, stressed the importance of Baku's hosting the 64th session of the EBU General Assembly.

The Head of State noted the event had provided a forum for delegates, coming from various countries, to familiarize themselves with the accomplishments achieved in Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan has achieved great progress in all fields. The Head of State also underlined special attention is paid to development of culture in the country. The importance of the 64th session of the EBU General Assembly was underscored in terms of expansion of international broadcasting cooperation.
