Azerbaijani-Turkish joint venture to produce new model buses

26 June 2010 [12:45] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijani-Turkish joint venture "Tez Auto" launched last year, has started producing intra-and intercity buses, Turkish media quoted Tez Auto CEO Ozgur Bingol as saying.
The company launched in Dec. 21, 2009 is located in Bursa.

"We have involved professionals in manufacture of new buses and intend to produce not only intercity buses, but also luxury two-storey vehicles. Our main principle is to work only on the basis of local materials. These buses, 33 of which are almost ready, have been made in Turkey. Today we can proudly state that a new model of the bus will be produced in Bursa under the slogan "one nation, two states,” Bingol added.

He said Tez Auto plans to manufacture 12-meter long two-storey buses, adding that they will not use China-made products in bus manufacture.

"We are confident that the best advertisement for our buses will feedback of drivers and passengers who appreciate comfort. We intend to sell our vehicles not only in Turkey and Azerbaijan, but also in South Africa, Europe and Arab countries. We plan to manufacture 120 buses this year and 360 buses in coming years. The main advantage of our product is absence of a conveyor, that is, all work is done manually. Let's just say our coaches’ manual assembly can be represented as a bus of Porshe and Ferrari option,” the CEO said.

The company will open services and maintenance centers in every country that will have Tez Auto buses.

"Our partners from Azerbaijan are also focused on implementing large projects," Bingol noted.
