Azerbaijan's economic opportunities presented in Trieste

Trieste Commerce Chamber Secretary S.Patriarca, Trieste Municipality's State Minister for Economic Affairs P. Rovis, representatives of the Italy Trade Institute and the major economic organizations, as well as more than 30 Italian companies attended the event.

Patriarca expressed the Italian companies' interest in cooperation with Azerbaijan, noting the importance of efficient use of existing capacity in this area. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Italy Emil Karimov informed the participants about the successful economic policy pursued in the country and the prospects of cooperation for the development of bilateral ties.

The Italian entrepreneurs were informed in detail about the favorable economic environment in Azerbaijan, the country's leading role in the region and the pace of development, as well as the ongoing economic reforms.

As a part of the event, Karimov gave an interview to ANSA news agency, and the Telequttro television channel, in which he described the country's energy policies, existing projects and Azerbaijan's role in ensuring the energy security of Europe.
