Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel and Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan discussed the settlement of the Karabakh problem in Berlin today, according to ArmToday.

"Germany supports the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group," Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel said in Berlin at a joint press conference with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. Merkel also stressed that the settlement of the conflict is of great importance for the region.
The two leaders also discussed the Armenian-Turkish relations.
"The current policy of Turkey in the reconciliation process with Armenia is not encouraging. In 2008, when we started this process, we realized that the Armenian-Turkish relations can be formed in the presence of a great political will, which, however, we yet to see from Turkey. We even saw that the parliament does not ratify the signed protocols, and we froze the process. The current policy of official Ankara does not contribute to the regulation of relations, " Sargsyan said.
