Azerbaijani defense ministry sues newspaper

The ministry sued the Bizim Yol newspaper (Our Way) for the information titled ' Seven people killed in the crossfire among soldiers ' published June 18, the ministry reported. This unfounded and slandered article wrote that allegedly another massacre took place in the Ministry's Military Unit in the Fizuli region and seven soldiers were killed as a result.

This newspaper attempted to slander the Azerbaijani army and strike a blow at the honor of soldiers and officers guarding homeland, the ministry said. According to Ministry's Spokesman Eldar Sabiroglu the article is a pure sabotage.
