Azerbaijan's deputy FM attends OIC foreign ministers meeting

Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vagif Sadigov attended Sunday the Organization of the Islamic Conference's (OIC) Expanded Extraordinary Executive Committee Meeting at the Level of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

According to the Ministry, the meeting discussed Israeli military operation against the freedom flotilla shipping humanitarian aid to Gaza. Representatives of OIC member states strongly condemned the Israeli operation, and hailed the UN Security Council's May 31 and UN Human Rights Council's June 2 resolutions. Mr. Sadigov, in turn, brought Azerbaijan's stance on the issue to the notice of participants. The meeting ended with adoption of a final communiqué.
